Kosovo Specialist Chambers

In the case of Specialist Prosecutor v Shala, Januzi and Bahtijari, before the Kosovo Specialist Chambers, the Trial Panel I issued a decision today approving the plea agreements entered into by the SPO and the defendants in relation to the offences of obstruction and intimidation.

Shala (represented by Toby Cadman and John Cubbon of Guernica 37 Chambers) was sentenced to 3 years’ imprisonment. Januzi (represented by Jonathan Elystan Rees KC and Elin Morgan of Apex Chambers, and Huw Bowden of Bowden Jones) and Bahtijari (represented by Dr Felicity Gerry KC of Libertas Chambers, and Marion Carrin) each received the statutory minimum of 2 years’ imprisonment, and will be eligible for early release from tomorrow.
